MEDIA ADVISORY: U.S. Army V Corps Arrival to Ansbach and Uncasing of Colors Ceremony

ANSBACH, Germany — ANSBACH, Germany – The city of Ansbach officials and U.S. Army V Corps will host a ceremony to formally announce V Corps’ fully operationally capable status and their forward presence in the European theater during a 9:00 a.m. event Tuesday, April 5, on Barton Barracks.

Latvian leadership visits the 1-3rd Attack Battalion

LATVIA — "You will find among our people a very strong thirst for freedom,” said Arturs Krišjānis Kariņš, Prime Minister of Latvia, “We were occupied by the Soviet Union for over 50 years. We know tyranny. We know subjugation." He visited Soldiers of the 1-3rd Attack "Viper" Battalion Soldiers at Lielvarde Air Base, Latvia, on March 4, 2022.

Hundreds of V Corps Soldiers depart for Germany in support of NATO allies

FORT KNOX, Ky. — FORT KNOX, Ky. — Roughly half of the U.S. Army’s V Corps Soldiers rose several hours before the sun March 7 to load duffel bags, ruck sacks and gear in preparation for a deployment to Europe.

12th Combat Aviation Brigade Apaches arrive to Saber Strike 22

LATVIA — Nearly 20 AH-64D Apache Longbow helicopters from the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade landed at Lielvarde Air Base, Latvia, on Feb. 24. The helicopters and the Soldiers of the 1-3rd Attack Battalion, 12 CAB, are in Latvia to participate in the multinational exercise, Saber Strike 22.

Press Release - Exercise Saber Strike 22 Begins

FORT KNOX, Ky. — FORT KNOX, Ky. – The Victory Corps will be providing command and control of Saber Strike 22, a biennial exercise that includes approximately 13,000 participants from 13 nations, set to begin on Feb. 28. The exercise runs through March 18.

British and U.S. Train Together in Poland

Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area, Poland — Feb. 8, 2022 -- British Troops traveled from Bemowo Piskie Training Area (BPTA), Poland, to Drawsko Pomorskie Training Area (DPTA), Poland, to meet with Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion "Dreadnaughts," 34th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division to learn more about American-tracked vehicles and discuss similarities and differences between how the two armies operate.

Air Cav takes to the skies over Hohenfels at Allied Spirit 22

‘Air Cav’ enhances interoperability at Allied Spirit
