Lieutenant General Costanza assumed duties as the Commanding General of V Corps on 08 April 2024. He most recently served as the Deputy Commanding General of United States Army Europe – Africa and prior to that served as the Commanding General of the 3rd Infantry Division. Lieutenant General Costanza received his commission in the Armor Branch from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1991. He holds a Masters Degree in Military Studies from American Military University and in Advanced Military Studies from the United States Army Command and General Staff College. He has commanded units from company to brigade. Command assignments include: M Company, 3d Squadron, and Regimental Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado; 1st Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; and 3d Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3d Infantry Division, Fort Benning, Georgia.
